It is without hesitation, that I recommend Rich Barnes to you. The City of Haverhill has been greatly impacted by the substance abuse epidemic that has hit our cities, state and country. Rich spoke in all four middle schools in the City of Haverhill as well as at our High School. I had the chance to attend those speeches. Rich was direct, honest and spoke with passion on the issue of substance abuse. His first hand direct knowledge of this disease had a huge impact on our students and staff. As President of the School Committee, I had the chance to speak with numerous individuals about Rich’s presentation, each felt it had a very strong impact on the students. Rich’s presentation brought the room to laughter as well as tears. He has a great talent of being able to communicate a story to a wide variety of age groups. I highly recommend Rich to you as someone who can make a lasting impression on students and also get them to open up and ask questions and tell their own stories. You will not be disappointed.
