To Whom It May Concern:

Every year around prom season we try to bring in a guest speaker to talk with our upperclassmen about the dangers of alcohol and drugs. This year, we were fortunate enough to have Rich Barnes address the students from the point of view of a recovering addict which is a perspective that most of them had not heard before. His presentation was both informative and thought provoking. Our students identified that they were captivated by the story Mr. Barnes shared and they were grateful for the opportunity to ask questions when he finished his presentation. As an administrator, I was especially pleased with the way Mr. Barnes carried himself and interacted with the students. He was careful to stress that good decision making is the key to being successful and that seeking help is the best way to overcome difficult situations in life. I would strongly recommendation Mr. Barnes to any school that is looking to find a unique and highly engaging presentation about the dangers of drugs and alcohol on teens and young adults.
