During the 2012-2013 school year, Richard Barnes spoke to the entire student body at East Middle School. During this presentation, Mr. Barnes openly discussed his years of alcohol and drug addiction and his journey to recovery. I strongly recommend Mr. Barnes as a speaker to middle school students. I believe that his message regarding the potential dangers of drugs and alcohol is important for young people to hear.
