I heard a quote today that was so profound, that it touched the inner most core of my heart and was branded on the outside of it. It was a quote about helping people in need and putting yourself second. It was about becoming vulnerable to another human being when you give them your strength, it was about being the shoulder for a stranger to cry on, a mountain to someone who is in their valley, and becoming a rope to pull people from the holes they have dug for themselves. It is about being selfless when selfishness is beating your brain, being that rock when someone is on shaky ground and it is truly about just getting involved instead of turning a blind eye. People, next time you know of someone that needs a hand in their life, go to them, whomever it may be, friend or foe, and do not just offer them a hand, offer both of them!!!!!
