As a Principal of a middle school in an urban setting, I am confronted daily with the damage that substance abuse wreaks on students and families.
I have personally witnessed the carnage that can result from a person making the first poor choice as a youngster to experiment with alcohol and drugs, and the progression of the disease of addiction and the damage it causes.
Rich was personable, direct and animated. He brought both staff and students to the point of laughter and tears throughout the presentation.
Students felt comfortable enough to share some of their own experiences, and several reached out to us for help after the conclusion of the presentation.
I would recommend Rich Barnes without reservation as a source of inspiration and as a person that will leave a lasting impression on both children and adults alike as they ponder the life choices presented to them on a daily basis.
