Does it really matter what they look like?
Does it really matter they are poor and on welfare?
Does it really matter that they are obese or anorexic?
Does it really matter that they are African American, Hispanic, Asian, white or anything else?
Does it really matter that their clothes are old and worn with holes?
Does it really matter that they can not afford the luxuries that you can?
Does it really matter that they are quiet and reserved?
Does it really matter that they are homeless?
Does it really matter that they practice a different religion than you or no religion at all?
Does it really matter that they belong to a different social group than you?
Does it really matter that they are gay, asexual or straight?
Does it really matter that they are not smart?
Does it really matter that they are CEO or the mailboy to that CEO?
To me it doesn’t and hopefully to you it doesn’t matter either, but to some people in this world, this list or things on this list are the basis for their hatred, bullying, threats and many other negative behaviors towards people. In my eyes, I feel as though everyone is equal and should be treated as such. Think about it for a moment, why should skin color even be a topic of conversation? Why should the clothes people wear be made fun of? Why do some people torment other people because they are gay, a different religion or not an Einstein. I see this and hear this every day and it is not right. People all over should be considered equal…No better and no worse. They say first impressions are the best one to judge someone, however I say not. If I meet someone for the first time, I know myself that I am a bit reserved. Does that mean I am an ignorant person? Hardly!!!! People should never look at someone and think they are better and conversely, think they are worse than. Just because I do not have a bazillion dollars and have the finest of everything does not make me worse off than someone that does…..I have said this before but to the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company to the person who eats out of the dumpster of that multi-billion dollar company, we are all human and we all have our quirks and faults and those quirks and faults are part of the makeup that we are made of….
Today, go out and say hello to every person you can. Smile at people that you usually look away from. When you see a jar for a collection for the homeless, put whatever you can afford into that jar. We are here on this earth to make people happy and if we do our jobs, then the lives of so many people will become full circle and then they too can spread the happiness…Just go out and make people happy and treat them as equals!!!!!!!!!!
