When you think of your past, do you think about the good times, or the bad times?? Do you think about when you were growing up in your early years how life was so easy and free and how you played hard every day until the street lights came on and your mom came looking for you, or does your mind only remember the ugly times when so many things happened to you and you felt like your world was turning upside down, and there was nowhere to turn??
When you think of the bad things that have come your way in your life, those thoughts steal your joy and drain your confidence. Your mind can stay stuck in those thoughts, replaying them over and over until you get so angry about something that happened so long ago, you burst at the seams and form resentments and then anger sets in. That is why it is important that you focus on your good thoughts, toughts that bring you happiness and joy. Thoughts that strengthen your confidence and will in yourself. A happy thought creates optimism and warms the heart. It can create a smile and in turn, will make someone else smile.
It is amazing how easy it is to wallow in your own defeats and bad events that happened 5, 10, even twenty years ago, but a truly strong person will overpower the negative thoughts with thoughts of abundance and gratitude toward everything in their lives, past and present and realize that the bad things only made them a stronger person….
