Another day I get to wake up sober, healthy, and whole.
Another day I get to leave my house and give my family a hug before I go.
Another day I get to get in my car and turn the key and just drive.
Another day to be grateful that I am lucky to be alive….
Another day I can pay the bills and maybe get ahead
Another day I am removed from my wish to be dead.
Another day I can laugh and put a smile on someone’s face.
Another day I understand that life is a journey and not a race.
Another day to help someone who is still suffering and in pain.
Another day I will live in peace, and not be insane.
Another day I will not hide, a will make my presence known.
Another day to show I am recovering, and how much I have grown.
Another day to tell my story to anyone that can hear.
Another day to live life strong and never live in fear!!
If you are suffering from alcoholism or addiction, there is help everywhere. If you do not know how to get help or where to go, ask. If you tell yourself you are beyond help, that is an outright lie. You are worth getting sober, you are worth living a sober life, and you are worth being happy. Take ten seconds and just contact someone and tell them you are hurting…Call anyone, call me!!!
